A Guide to Lubricants -- Types and Draw 
 
 Pastes and Gels  
TOWERDRAW TC-88 is a modifi ed complex chemical soap, water-soluble paste. It provides a strong barrier film and high degree of lubricity. It is primarily intended for tube and pipe bending.

TOWERDRAW TC-89 is available as a version of TC-88 with PTFE added to perform more heavy-duty work.

KLENEDRAW W-4100 is an oil free gel designed as a lubricant for tube and pipe bending operations. It is easy to clean and can be welded through without cleaning.
 Water Diluted Compounds  
KLENEDRAW W-4230 is an oil-free complex soap developed to lubricate bending and end forming operations on tubing. Can be used neat or diluted with water. It is easy to clean and can be welded through without cleaning.

TOWERSOL G-9105 is a versatile, multipurpose emulsifiable metal forming lubricant. When mixed with water at 1:1 IT FORMS AN INVERT EMULSION PASTE. At 2:1 to 5:1 it forms a viscous forming lubricant.

TOWERPRO 7700-E is a heavy-duty, multipurpose emulsifiable metal forming lubricant. When mixed with water at 1:1 it forms a heavy emulsion.
 Compound Oils  
TOWER A-108 is an extreme pressure type of compound oil designed as a lubricant for metal forming operations using ferrous metals and stainless steel. It is particularly effective for tube bending and swaging operations

TOWERDRAW 9826-TD is a unique draw bending lubricant with optimum anti-wipe properties balanced with extreme pressure protection and dual phase wetting agents.

TOWERDRAW 9925-TD is a super heavy-duty metal forming lubricant designed to be cleanable in alkaline wash systems. This product is formulated to give maximum protection against "building-up" on tooling.

End forming operations are actually specialized tube fabricating operations. Generally the equipment and tooling are designed to perform specific operations such as flaring, expanding, swaging, and beading. Swaging and expanding are severe cold, working operations that are performed on the end of the tube. In many instances the lubricants required must be heavy-duty extreme pressure compound oils. Products such as TOWER 9925-TD, 9826-TD, and A-108 are required for the most difficult end forming operations. Moderate to heavy-duty end forming operations are lubricated with high wetting extreme pressure soluble oils such as TOWERPRO 7700-E. Oil free chemical solutions such as KLENEDRAW 3400-KD and W-4230 provide exceptional boundary film lubrication. They are ultra clean, easy to wash and can be welded over without smoke or hazardous fumes.
 End Finishing Lubricants    
The conditioning of tube ends requires lubricant properties that provide excellent penetration, flushing, and extreme pressure protection, along with rust protection. TOWERKEM W-3222 and TOWERCOOL 457- HD provide the properties needed for end finishing.
 Cut-Off Lubricants    
Tower has developed several families of lubricants for various cut-off processes. These formulations have excellent wetting, anti-wipe and extreme pressure protection required for tube and pipe cut-off operations. They are used on a wide range of materials such as cold roll steel, hot roll steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminized steel, and special alloys. JET-SETŪ airless spray application equipment is recommended for the application of the lubricant onto the cut-off tools.

MACRO-EMULSIONS: TOWERSOL A-1325 and TOWERPRO 7700-E
